EPCA 2D, EPCA 3D, RDCA, TOUGH-RDCA, which are incorporated into CASRock ( based on multidisciplinary of cellular automaton, elasto-plastic theory, fracture mechanics, rock mechanics, partition of unity, level set method and fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, etc. I developed a series of novel numerical methods and comprehensive successive numerical codes (e.g. These included a series of rock fracture experiments with a combination of digital image correlation (DIC) and acoustic emission (AE) techniques to understand the nonlinear fracturing mechanism of rocks. My research interests are currently focused on rock fracture mechanics and continuum-discontinuum numerical methods to simulate rock nonlinear fracturing process with and without consideration of coupled THMC processes in geological media. Jonny Rutqvist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) as a Visiting Scholar in the modeling of coupled thermal – hydraulic – mechanical – chemical (THMC) processes in geological media. I became an Assistant Professor in 2006, and was promoted as an Associate Professor in 2009 and a Professor in 2013 at IRSM, CAS. In 2003, I moved to the Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics (IRSM), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), where I received PhD in Geotechnical Engineering in 2006, under the supervision of Prof. I received BEng in Engineering Mechanics in 2000 and MEng in Solid Mechanics in 2003, respectively, from Wuhan University of Technology. ![]() I was born and grew up in Yongchun, Fujian Province in South China.
